Hello,
I just installed the new version.
The render frame range is ignore by SR. Frame range 0 to 5 on max render panel is check but SR render only the active viewport camera (while the camera is animated). I have only 1 camera in the scene, so no mistake can happens at this stage.

Am I missing something on this new SR version or is it a bug?

Hello,
Since yesterday, all glass object render solid when using SR script.
It render properly without SR with a max depth reflection/refraction set to 3.

This value did not change when using SR. Any idea?
Thanks
Hi All,

I have an issue that I'm not sure if it is just common or I'm doing something wrong. I currently have a project where the stills with IM /LC + DE and the Animation Preset are taking about 5 mins to render. This scene is gonging to be an 1800 frame animation with moving objects and cameras.

My issue is that the final frames using MOAWiz and the 2Pass render are taking about 20 min to render compared to the still rendering.

Is this common with Time-interpolated irradiance maps??

I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

Subject: New RAM = I need a new serial - by: Trystero

I wrote three times in email but I never had an answer. So I decided to write again in email and also in the forum.

SolidRocks stopped working three days ago, it asks for a new serial.

I tried the two serials received months ago but they did not work
Yesterday I discovered that the identification code changed, now it is SROSXC4D-2048-3873-5577 (in December, when I bought SolidRocks, it was SROSXC4D-2048-3873-5127)
But I changed nothing in my C4D installation.

Searching in the forum I found this message:
solidrocks.subburb.com/index.php?option=...=4587&Itemid=114

"actually request is based on computername, cpu, and ram amount."

RAM AMOUNT! Saturday I bought other 4 GB RAM and now I have 12gb RAM on my MacPro.
Finally I found the reason why SolidRocks asks for a new serial

Please send me a new serial for SolidRocks, because I need to use it (order n°2814).

I there!

I'm making a render but solidrocks keeps changing the max depth value of vraymtl.
I've already unchecked "AutoGlossiesSubdivs" but it keeps on changing them after I correct the value.
Does anyone has a pointer on why this is happening!
Thanks you all in advance.

Subject: Preview not working on Mac - by: rsquires

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but the Preview function just does not work on my Mac. I am running OSX 10.8.3 with the latest release of R14 C4D. The rest of Solid Rocks works fantastically. A really useful plugin, but whenever I try and use the small Preview window by clicking on the button next to it, C4D hangs as the button changes to Wait... So I wait of a little while as the fans on my Mac Book Pro start whirring but nothing. Also the Overexposed button just gives a Blue screen. Does this not work on the mac or am I doing something wrong. If so why is it detailed in the features as it isn't one that's working for me here

Subject: MOAWiz User defined interp. samples - by: eyepiz

Hello,

In MOAWiz it would be nice if we can have User defined interp. samples for 2 pass render. I noticed they stay the same in the IM prepass and Rendering. Reducing the interp. samples in the final rendering reduces rendering times.

Thanks!
Hello !

I have finished my scene, which is kind of a sun timelapse over a open-roof tunnel. WIth a moving cam. (no moving objects)

I'm wondering what would be the best settings in order to avoid flickering.

Any idea ?
Subject: Preset - LC+IM vs BruteForce - by: jbrasmartins

First of all I hope to be posting this question in the correct part of the forum.

Question: Has someone found a cool compromise between these two presets for exterior views, I would love to have the color mix of LC+IM without the bleed and with the definition of Brute force!
But the render times are expensive, Is it even possible?
Just looking for some input.

Subject: Different reflections with medium and better presets - by: WAcky

Hello Jerome,

I was having this issue with a pre 1.0 build and updated last night to the latest version of SR to find the issue is still there. I'm using Max 2012 x64 PU

My issue is that the 'medium' quality preset gives me reflections of my hdri domelight (with a vrayhdri tex) yet any preset above medium kills these reflections. I've tried various settings on and off but can't find a solution. I have no idea whether it's a glass material issue, or an issue with the HDRI. I think it could be the HDRI as the glass still seems to reflect the rest of the scene.

I have attached the two examples plus the solid rocks setup.

cheers,
Hello Jerome and Gang

Its been a long while since i have used vray and solidrocks , over the last few years i have been using octane for my work, and while im still using it..i wanna get back to vray and the lovely SR script .

What are the steps one has to take in rendering Animations (MOVING OBJECTS AND MOVING CAMERA, OR JUST MOVING OBJECT AND STATIC/ALMOST NON MOVING CAMERA) to be able to render with vray and SR in RT mode and Non-RT Mode?

thx
