?? i must say i've problems with my Wacom tablette when using max, too. (buttons configuration are overrided..grrr)

I've made that because SolidRocks launchs an external .exe to control the licence system.
In order for max to have the authorisation to execute an external .exe file, it must be run in admin mode.

I know this is a pain, but i was forced to do that because of intensive piracy/hacking on 0.75 build.

I'm trying actually to find a way to avoid this problem.

Thanks for reply

Is this likely to be fixed soon, or could 3dconnexion who make my 3d mouse be able to sort it out possibly.

I appreciate you do not want your software hacked but I need to have both working together.

Cheers

i understand the problem and will do my best to find a way...

That's strange, because i've a space3D navigator wich works well here, (vista64) but that's my wacom tablette wich have a problem.

i've found that my wacom have problems only with max 2010 and not with max 2009. max 2010 seems to modify some devices config even if it's launched as admin or not.

Perhaps can you make a try and confirm me that it's really the admin mode wich causes the problem ?

Thanks by advance ;)

Hi

I can confirm that my space explorer 3d mouse works fine when max is not run as administrator.
However I always get this scrip error on loading max in either mode:-

Welcome to MAXScript.

Any ideas why?

Many thanks

Hi,

to all, who have problems with their Spacepilots in administration-mode, you must run your 3dConnexion-driver also as administrator.
For that, run the 3dxsrv.exe (programs/3DConnexion/3DConnexion 3DxSoftware/3DxWare) also as administrator (right click on 3dxsrv.exe - properties - compatibility - run program as administrator)!

I hope, that it can solve your problems Realizeart...

Best regards

Sascha
