Hi Nirsul,
hmm that's odd !
does it works in low, medium ? crashes only when raising quality to "production" ?
Do u use Max VFB or Vray VFB ?
can you tell me your max and vray version, OS, and RAM please ?
sounds like a ram issue... perhaps have you a vray or max error message before the crash ?

Jerome
I suspect it is a VRAY SP3 issue as it happens even when not using SR.
BTW - is there a way to have only the AutoWB and Auto Exposure system loaded - for cases that I don't need the SR features except for those ?

Hmm OK, not SR related, but SP3 related. that's bad luck !
about autoexpo and autowb, humm this option don't exists for instance, sorry
but there are only 2 values affected byt these tools :
physcam custom balance color and shutter speed.
i suppose that the good thing will be to add a button into the init/save rollout like "apply cam params" ?

The beauty in the AWB and AutoExposure is the fact that they can detect the correct settings - don't know how you did it...
the feature you suggested is a welcome one thanks.

thanks !!
basically i first launch a minipreview with actual cam settings (except wb, i force white color balance)
then i explore all the pixels of mini preview (depends of alpha options) to make a simple average of all pixel colors.
For example at the end of this process i know that the average of all colors in the preview if a grey 110,110,110.
I suppose that for a good autoexpo this average need to be 128,128,128. So i know that i have to raise the intensity to about 17%. The maths parts are here, converting this percentage in a new shutter speed calculation. was hard to find the right formula.
auto WB was a little bit more simplier, perhaps because i've made it after
next step is an interactive slider to fine adjust the expo before clicking on OK button. that's not simple.. but i'm motivated !!
