Hi, Roysgi !
nice pic ! perhaps the left wall need some more displace ?
Let me explain what's happening :
i suppose that option "interpolate vray mats glossies" is ON in your case.
in factory presets (ex : interior) the glossies interpolation thresold is <= 0.85
So in your case, the floor have its glossies interpolated inside irradiance map. glossies have no grain, but are blurred just like irradiance map. subtle details are loss !
there are 3 solutions :
- modify the preset and gives, for example, 0.75 value for glossies interpolation. Like this, you floor glossies will not be interpolated, but other materials in your scene will be if their glossies are <= 0.75.
- just set OFF the option in solidrocks, no glossies will be interpolated (brute force glossies, as usual)
- modify your preset, and set irradiance map max rate (for medium) at -1 instead of -2. Interpolated glossies will be more precise with more precise irradiance map
i think i'll modify the factory glossies value in presets from 0.85 to 0.75.
Hope it helps !

Thanks for the quick reply - i knew that somthing wrong with the floor glossiness but didnt know the reason for it.
somthing else- see the attachment- i get it all the time when i lunch the 0.75 dont know what to do.
in the .52 it was automaically without the needs to go to the gamma tab.
max 2009,2008 vray sp1, sp2.

hmm you're right !
normally this message would appear only for max9 (and inferior.)
i've made a mistake! -- added to bugtracker --
all will work fine, anyway.
If you want to avoid this message, just check ON the gamma correction in max preferences before launching solidrocks.

but.. WAIT !!!
this message appears because SolidRocks just automate the "ON" affectation to affect colors and affect material editor checkboxes (not present in maxscript) into you max gamma settings.
please check them ON before launching solidrocks, and this message will not appear
