Control over material!

Control over material! was created by Cypri
...in SR there is a Control over the material. But the hole material has the same adjustments.
Would it be possible to have some groups of material classes? for example:
Group 1: with 6 Reflections/Refractions and 30 Subs (for windows and near material objects)
Group 3: with 4 Reflections/Refractions and 16 Subs (for the middle range material objects)
Group 2: with 2 Reflections/Reflections and 8 Subs (for walls or far material objects)
_The Groups should be flexible and the user can adjust the settings he need! ...this Kind of material control could reduce the render time and rise the quality of the important materials you need! ...by the way it would reduce the adjustments of material!

Well that's a nice idea !
It will complexify the workflow i think..
But it can be an "apart" script to help..
if seen something like that before...
Let me see...
ok i got it :
www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/vmc-vray-material-control
It works with selections, so you can use named selection sets to manage your mat subdivs as you mentionned !
note : if you use this script, it's better to set OFF the "auto glossies subdivs" option in solidrocks to avoid any interference..
Hope it helps

I second the initial idea.
sometimes I would like to increase the subdivs of one material, but I can't because of the global settings of solidrocks. I thought an include/exclude list could be helpful?!
best regards
