HI subburb

i start using vray beta for 3dsmax from the first release.
and now i'm a 100% maya user and we actualy testing the vray for maya and the beta is an a good stage now.
so if u are planning for a solidRock for maya version i can help u integrating it ,i'm a Mel and Phyton programmer and we can get easly to integrate it into maya.
i also help in creating new preset for vray for maya insprired from ur algorithm used in SolidRock.

Great idea, if you think that some Maya users can be interested by SR...
does your settings looks promising under maya ? it would be nice..
i'm on a big work right now, for 2 weeks, but i keep this thread hot in my head ;)

People are already intesreted in SolidRock.
and they hope that they can use this in maya .
Anyway the vray for maya is basicly the same right now us the 3dsmax Vray SP1
and all the var are the some and all the setting maybe some workflow is a little bit different but we can get our hand on getting the right path.

ok! i've buyed mel studio pro, and have the first line of code : manipulating Vray vallues via script.

Before going next step, i've a question : is there a way to encrypt/protect mel script ?

yes their is but it's in python i guess , i have to take a deep look into it first..
but for mel their is no quick easy way u can do this only if u plan to wrote a c++ plugin.

That's what i've seen when i appraoched the problem...

I wanted to avoid c++ dev because i'm not really familiar with that (i do that some years ago, but i forget..)

That's a pain that autodesk didn't made an obfuscation/encryption system for melscript to help commerical plugins/scripts development...
