Reduced number of light patches

Hi, I am trying this clever solution (always asked myself WHY they didn't include some simplified interface like this in Vray itself...) but I found a problem.

As you can see in the picture, the number of light patches is very reduced: the green sphere is single colour and shouldn't be spotted.

My scene is a bit atypical: I have a very large sphere that I use as a sky and also light is generated by outputting light from this sphere (fake HDR, in other words, by changing the diffuse output curve in Max :side: ) so this might be the problem.

I tried and tried but it seems I can in no way increase the number of rays calculated in the render

Hi !
for sure, the green sphere shouldn't be spotted like this..

did you used VRay physical camera ?

Looks like it's your light dome wich is problematic, because the small lights on the left seems to be nicely sampled.
(there's a black halo surrounding them --> try to check ON subpixel mapping to remove them.)

Of course you can edit the preset itself (if you're not using demo version) to tweak things...

Ummm... and is there a way to specify that I want a single object to cast more rays than the others?

Yes I'm still with demo version... yes, I'm using VRay physcam.
If I use VRay preset medium it works already better, maybe you should allow the increase of number of light samples in SolidRocks? ;)
