I want to render a high res image in solid rocks. was created by ubione3397
Hi,
this is my first image produced with Solidrocks and Vray, the resolution is 1000x759, I used the method IM/LC + DE with good quality. The time to render is 5:30 hours. I should produce an image of 2000x1518, I'm worried that the time to render is too long. Do you have any advice for me?
Thank you for yuor time.
Umberto

looks good !
But 5:30 hours to render is not good...
It should take 5-15 mins to render, depends on your hardware.
Did you used displace into it ?
What kind of lights did you used ?

Hi Jerome,
thanks for your compliments, but I'd be much happier to produce this image in 15 minutes.
my hardware is a HP 4400 workstation with Intel Core 6600 2.40GHz, Nvidia Fx1500 512mb, 4gb ram, win 7 64 bit.
I used 1 vraysun, 2 lights Ies and preset interior high design downloaded from the website.
I do not know if using solidrocks is useful to save the LC and IM maps to reduce rendering times as I read in some forum on vray.
Thank you for your time.
Umberto
P.s.
I'm sorry if my English is not perfect.

Good evening everybody. I just registered and was wondering that I will make a little offtopic here. If I posted to the wrong category, moderation, please move it to proper forum category. This is my first post on this forum. I would be happy if whoever could help me with that problem. The one who can resolve my problem gets served with bottle of beer
