hi
is it normal that by rendering with SR the subdivs sampling of a vray light always goes back to 5, dosent matter in Fast or Ultra mode???

Hi Hardi, yes it is !
Lights subdivs are tied to the DMC global subdivs value (like other subdivs) :
in medium, global mult is 2.0, so "real" light subdivs are 5*2 = 10 subdivs
in ultra, global mult is 10.0, so "real" light subdivs are 5-10 = 50 subdivs
same process for glossies reflection/refraction subdivs into materials.
