Hi Jerome,
Any news about material assignment problem ?
Solved ??
I can't imagine to work without SR but in this case plugin is not usable...I'll install perevious version and check how it works.

Hi,
i guess you're talking about issues when using slate material editor ?
if yes, would you please tell me if you can avoid the problem by switching to simple material editor before rendering and switch back to slate after ? It'll help me to localize problem.
But i must say that slate have very weird behavior in background (script)... sometimes it's not synchro with scene, etc..

Switching between slate / compact material not working well, in this case...returning to slate mat. after working with compact mat. still detaching all materials.
What about pop-up window "restoring materials" for "milisecond" when rendering is finished ? It looks that after restoring materials by SR all connections between scene's materials and materials in material editor ( slate or compact ) are gone..
Switching between SR 1.1.5 (19/10/2012) and 0.99.4 (22/12/2011) helps - the same scene, materials, etc. - then works fine.
Very strange bug...

Hello,
I'm trying to find the issue... not so evident it seems.
Here's a working workaround :
- make a copy of your scene
- got into SolidRocks Init/save panel.
- Apply material and scene optimisations. This will modify permanently all materials and lights in your scene.
- Open the options panel in SR
- Check OFF "Auto Glossies subdivs" and "Auto Vrayshadows Subdivs"
This time SR will NOT parse your materials at each render. Result should be same.
Please tell me if it helps.

Have tried your above solution many times, but it still never works..
i tried all work arounds, even imported the new scene into a scene which dint show SR processing earlier, as soon as i imported it started to process the old scene too..
