Hungup on "SolidRocks is starting..."

SolidRocks 1.6.5 (purchased version)
3ds Max 2012 64bit (Run As Administrator)
V-Ray 2.50.01 (purchased version)
Windows 8.1

I cannot get SR to start properly. This dialog window appears "SR is processi... SolidRocks is starting..." but it never changes.

V-Ray can render fine on its own. I have used SR successfully on this computer in the past.

Since then I have upgraded from a HDD to a SSD, and mirrored the drive contents, so perhaps this has messed up the SR license somehow?

EDIT: I have installed in 3ds Max root. I tried re-installing SR, and the install completes successfully, but same error occurs when invoking SR.

please i have the same problem it wont start ( solidrocks is starting ) ! but nothing changes !!??
