splotches in animation was created by mananddog
Hi,
this is part of a sequence, you can see that the problem is that there are a lot of splotches moving around. Does anyone know why this is happening?
When I use a higher setting in SR the splotches get less but they are still there even with ultra settings. I need to get rid of these splotches with medium quality settings in SR to get an acceptable rendertime.
any tips?

Hello, is this a flythrough anim ?
Anyway, your problem can comes from 2 problems :
-interpolation of glossies (in material). This Vray feature can cause identical problems in moving objects animation (1 irrad map by frame).
To remove that into SolidRocks, please open the "options panel" and check OFF the option named "interp gloss in irrmap.."
- at least one Vraylight has the option "store with irradiance map" checked, and you use one different irrmap for each frame (moving object anim mode)
You can also, in SR options, check OFF "interp Vray lights in irrmap" buttons.
Hope it helps,
Regards,
