Override Core Detection was created by beestee
It is nice that this process is automated for some cases, especially when rendering locally. But when net-rendering the computer that you send the renders from may not match in core quantity to the computer that you send the renders to. Any way to set up an override for these situations?

Hey, I got the same problem as u. Did u get any answer ? I'd be please to have the trick to force all core usage.

Hi !
Well that's a big question...
Here's the tip to setup the core number :
Into maxscript listener, enter this line (and press enter):
renderers.current.system_numthreads = x
(where x is the needed threads number).
Don't forget to adjust your lightcache passes number, too (same value).
I'm trying to find a workaround for this feature, perhaps a simple User/SR switch to tell SR to not managage anything about that(USer) or make settings as usual.
Of course i'll try to automate the detection, but it's not simple...

well i think i'll remove this feature for threads number and forces only LC num passes.
the number of threads seems to be directly detected by Vray when launched on a different computer, even in DR mode. Someone can confirlm that point ?
In revenge, the LC passes value must be consistent across a network in order to get nice results, so SR will continue to adjust the value automatically.
