My A6's transmission started jerking between 2nd and 3rd gear - any hope? was created by brittanycole
I've got a 2014 Audi A6 with the multitronic CVT and lately it's been doing this weird hesitation when shifting from second to third, almost like a rubber band effect then a slight jerk. I'm terrified because everyone says these gearboxes are delicate and a rebuild costs a fortune. Took it to a general gearbox shop in Al Quoz who quoted me 8k for a full overhaul without even doing a proper diagnostic. Something felt off so I started asking around on Audi forums and a few people recommended a
Dubai Audi Transmission Repair Center
that actually specializes in these multitronic units and can often fix them with just a valve body service or software adaptation. Before I drop a huge amount of money, has anyone here dealt with similar CVT issues on their Audi? Did a simple fluid change or mechatronic repair solve it, or was a full rebuild inevitable? I'm in Dubai but willing to drive anywhere in the emirate for a shop that knows these transmissions inside out. Really hoping it's not as bad as the first shop made it sound. Any advice would be a lifesaver.
