SR doesn't work - "Cannot access SR website" popup window was created by gscarabello

Please provide instructions on how to solve this issue I've been having since this morning.
As soon as I click on the SR button a popup windows appears saying "SR is starting" followed by a second one "checking for new version" and then "cannot access SR website". Nothing happens after that.
