Normal Threshold was created by beestee
By chance has the default value for the normal threshold setting for the
irradiance map been changed to a higher value recently?

I am all of a sudden getting black areas in the finer details of my renders
that were fine with the previous versions of SR. DE cleans up most of it,
but not really worth the difference in rendertime. If the nrm thesh is
just bumped down a notch it cleans all of it up and without the costly DE.

I usually only get into these types of fine detail situations on interiors.

EDIT: OK, I have changed views, and resolution, and even with the lower
nrm thresh the problem appears. Not sure what is going on, but I will wait
until Monday to get it figured out. Have a nice weekend. :)

hmmm these black splotches comes since sp3/sp3a buimds of vray.
i'm on it ! trying to find wich param have to be modified, and preparing some sp3 related new presets ;)
if you' find something, don't hesit !
