I didn't work for me too.
What did you do to fix it?

yes i'm working on it. i'll post working presets as soon as they'll be ready.
working, too, on 0.8 build (more compact, and some new fine parameters for power users)

I would be interested to see if
this preset
solves your problem.
The unzipped file goes into:
max root > solidrocks > presets
Once placed there it should show up in the SR preset drop-down box.
You may have to close and re-open the SR window if you had it open
when you placed the preset file. If it still does not show up,
you will need to close and re-open Max.
