Now I have the opposite problem!
AE creates a dark dull exposure. although original shutter speed had no over exposure AE wanted to double the shutter value!
attached before (with no overX - ae2)
and after - dull dark gray - ae1

well in forst case the result seems correct, as the average intensity of all pixels is 50% grey after AE computation.
For the other one, are you sure to have checked "ignore alpha pixels" into the options ?
You can also accept and launch AE again to affine the result.

90% of the render is white. I don't want 50% gray.
The preview (and render) look dark and incorrect.
it might be balanced - but incorrect.
Ignore alpha is checked.

Not really since this is how we said working correctly just not relevantly.
the only thing I can think of is making the gray percentage bar changeable (which in return lowers or raises the exposure in the vraycam) so you can have more or less gray/white in the outcome?
right now I change the shutter speed manually but I don't think it should be like this.
hope you'll figure it out
