When you Launch Sr, it will first check is Vray colormapping gamma is different of 1.0.
If it is the case (let's say you've putted 1.5), Sr will auto activate Gamma correction with 1.5 value.
By the way, it will activate, too, Max gamma and put Max viewport gamma to 1.5, and max input gamma to 1.5, too.
What you're describing is normal to my eyes.
when you close SR there are several behaviors, depending on you previous gamma gestion before launching SR, if you leave gamma correction on or off, and if you've checked or not the \"save on exit\" button. See détails in post : new build : 0.52 for algorithm.
i call you by phone to see what's appening
edit : after phone call, here is the result :
I have to modify the max gamma when user leaves SR with \"Save on exit\" to ON :
- force max gamma to 1.0 if user works with Max VFB, to avoid double gamma when render wothout SR.
- force gamma to choosen value if user works with Vray VFB
