SR New release Install Issue

Morning, I downloaded the New Release and I am still having the same problem as when I tried to install the beta version for testing. Once the install completed I tried to launch the build.

First Error - License problem.. Please contact the Solid Rocks Team. Error 5 can't find correct hardware ID.

Second Error - Error While Cleaning .SRR file(s)

Then from their it is pretty much a useless window...

System Specifications.
EVGA 750I FTW Motherboard
Intel Q9300 processor
8Gb SLI Corsair Memory
2 500 Sata Drives
Dual EVGA 8800 GTS In SLI MODE
Vista Ultimate 64Bit OS

I have tried to remove both versions and reinstall the new version. I have a suspicion that even after removing the product their are still some files that are not being removed and upon reintall these files are still intact possibly creating this problem. However that is just an educated guess. In your response please send me a complete list of all of the changes made when an install happens maybe if I physically remove all the components and try and install the license issue will disappear.

Very sorry for this problem, some few other users have same one
(with strange serial SR0750)

something wrong, i'm searching to find the problem.

i don't think that it cames from old 0.52 interaction.

0.52 had an "internal" request serial system based on Max hardware ID"
unfortunately 64 bits verions of max are bugged with this internal max variable.

so to keep a minimal security and avoid massive piracy, i had to rewrite this part...

new 0.75 have a very new request/serial system, working like this :
Sr is launching an exe program via shell.
This little program is named SRGetID.exe and is placed into your windows/system dir.
Each time you launch SR, it executes this program to control the licence.
This SRget.ID.exe collects hardware ID (hard drive signature) to generate request code.

i think that the problem comes for security reason (shield protection program, or vista UAC issue)

I've here vista64 ultimate, too, and all is working well.

if you've UAC on, can you try to launch max "as an administrator" to see if it helps ?

Very sorry for this problem, be sure i'm working hard to solve it as soon as possible ;)

Ok you were 100% right I run max as an admin and it worked fine. I am now awaiting my activation code.

just run your max "as an administrato", and SR will work fine !
