Different render between presets.... was created by amitshneor
Hi !
i did a tutorial by tensun3d on lightning an interior .
at the end i fired SR and let it take over the render . the problem i have is that in "draft" and "preview" modes the render looks
the same, but when i turn to higher presets (low and so on...) the render looks diferent, more blown out and the lightning is brighter .
what can couse that ?
thanks.
Amit.

Hi !
First, thanks for making this tutorial.. i'm impatient to see it
the phenomenon you describe have been (normally) solved on the 21/02/2009 build. It was light option (interpolate in irradiance map) problem when not using irrad map (minipreview, preview and draft), leading to darker images in these 3 modes. i've forced the option off, whatever your preferences in Sr, for these 3 modes.
So, can you update to 21/02/2009 build, and see if problem is solved please ?
Thanks

do u mean that when im working in draft or preview i wont be able to see the real lightning that will
be in low and higher modes?
and do i have to push "apply lights" whenever i change preset ?
it seems that the checkbox in the light itself does not Unchecked when switching presets...
what is the best workflow ? and how can i still use draft and preview until i want higher modes?
thanks a lot...

hmm normally with 21/02/2009 buils this problem is solved, and you see the same lighting in drat, preview, low, medium.. and in the mini preview, too. that's not your case ??

Hey Jérôme,
I am seeing this same darker/lighter kind of problem happening when I switch to Universal mode. I render Universal settings normally anyway, and the file was setup that way, and it renders okay. If I use SR and render in "good" (or whatever setting) it still looks the same, but if I use "Universal Method" in SR the image renders darker (see attached pics . I have installed the newest build.
Any ideas?
