Clay renders? was created by simmsimaging
I was trying to figure out how to use this function - but maybe I'm just dense, I had no luck anyway. Is there a quick guide to explain how to get that working?
Thanks J

i'm on that point, too.
someone here know a good .chm maker ?
in resume :
let's take an example of an house interior to render.
it's more practical to adjust exposure/lighting and white balance with grey/white diffuse material override.
Clay tool permits to override all mats in the scene by the choosen one, but let the light throw trough glasses. that's why the omit reflect/refract options. just check on the omit refract and all mats in scene will be replaced with the choosen one, but all glass material (containing refract) will be leaved "as is". it avoids tu use the include/exclude options in vray material override options.
- clay works only on objects with Vraymaterial applied for instance.
- choose an scene material with the "..." button
- click on the "omit refl"
- hit render : all will be overrided with choosen mat, except glasses.
- note : clay preparation/restitution process can take some seconds.

Ah, I was misled a bit by the name - I thought it was more of an AO pass type render, but I will try that out.
Thank you.
