and now when i turn GI off manually, i get this picture...

have to set gamma to 2.2 to get a little more info else gray is complete black

its funny that SR uses GI to produce the image which worked without GI, and turning it off makes it completely black and "washed out"

My pleasure ! nice to know that SR have done its job ;) --> focus on your scene, and not on Vray settings...

waow ! this last one is rocking !! very nice...
so you finally used SR with Gi to obtain your image ?

what was wrong ? fell free to dhare your settings to share XP with other users (medium ? DE on or off ?)

With new SP3/sp3a you can make "real" laser beams with environement fog, i think ;)

nothing was wrong, its just i still dont understand how SR uses VRAY with GI to obtain a scene that worked without it before,

so i still have some questions:

1)what process is giving the scene light, because when GI is turned off, all light is missing?!

2) why does the scene become lighter the better quality i make, a preview for me is lowest light, when i render in good quality the light has become so much that i have to turn down the lights... i know this has to do with global illumination, better quality more bouncing, but i still dont understand or "like" that it becomes brighter the better quality i have ?

3) does anyone work with gamma of 2 ? i can only produce nice results with 0.6 to 1.0 gamma ....

4) wouldnt it be nice to have option to turn GI on and off in SR? (i know this was in previous version)

5) are you "subburb" the brains behind this app? is it a oneman show?! either way, respect!!! you are seriously helping alot of people!

6) i dont think ill get a price for my project, but hopefully a good grade :) or do umean prize? jes i hope ill win prizes ^_°

7)"And, why not, one day, becoming a full version customer ! " yes i will actually do that once i have enough money, i know it doesnt cost anything, 64dollars is incredbile!!! but i have 2 children and am a poor student, so one day i promise i will, but until then, i will actually promote ur product!! i will tell all my friends, and even put an ad on my website if u want?!

i will chek out all my settings rendering and at end of week will definatley post my settings, althought its just default actually , but wil get into that that...

lookin forward to your answers because im still 'lil clueless, and thanks again for making my 3d world a nicer place to live in ^_^

(and if u want i can post or send u at end of month, real comparison of scene, without SR rendertime and quality, with SR :)

ok thanks again! you are my new god! ^_°
