ouch sorry i've forgotten that point. (0.8x)
basically here's how it works :
first you have to know that the "later" button works well only if gamma correction is 2.2 (= srgb)
i postulate that before launching Sr all your max gamma's are = 1.0
let's say you launch SR, and apply 1.8 gamma correction with it:
- While working, SR forces max viewport gamma and max input gamma to 1.8
- at render time, SR forces max viewport gamma to 1.0 (to avoid double gamma with max frame buffer) and forces vray colormapping gamma to 1.8.
- if the "later" button is checked, then at render time SR forces max viewport gamma to 1.0 (to avoid double gamma with max frame buffer), forces vray colormapping gamma to 1.0, and check on the "don't affect colors (adaptation only) as it's recommended by Chaosgroup to adjust render quality for later gamma adjust.
Hope it sounds logical
