benny

ps : the color could looks better after i tweak on third party software, but the sharpness still in question...

hey ! not so bad ;)

my first reaction is that some displacement would be nice.

Please can you tell us if you've used vraysun/sky and Vrayphysical camera ?

did you applied a gamma correction with SR ?

and, finally, what was you coor mapping settings ?

thanks for the quick reply....
you mean displacement for the grass ? i'm up to

yes, i'm using vraysun/sky (multiplier 1.5) and vrayphysical cam (shutter 200)

nope, haven't applied the gamma corrc...but i'd try

color mapping was reindhard (comes with SR i think)...usually i used linear multiply..because it produce more dramatic coloration...

please advise...thanks so much suburb

ok, i would suggest these things :

- leave sun/sky mult to default 1.0
- in SR, color mapping section, push the cursor to have 75-100% linear.
- in SR, apply a gamma correction , for example 2.2
- in SR, click on the AutoExpo button, SR will adjust your vrayphyscam exposition according to these new settings.

(please note : the AutoExpo changes only the shutter speed value. As you're on exterior scene, before doing that, please control that your f-stop value is not out of range. for exterior like this one, check that your f-stop value is not < 8 before pressing the autoexpo button)

fell free to post the result ! ;)

some deeper tips :

if you try to have the better exposition possible, you can do the following :
- force color mapping to 100% linear
- make your "autoexpo" via SR (you can do it more that one time for fine result)
- check on the "OverX" button to see if you've some overburned parts into your image.
- if yes, then change color mapping to 90% linear, redo a minipreview, and see if there are overXposed pixels
- if yes, change color mapping to 80% linear, redo a minipreview, and see if there are overXposed pixels
- ..... and so on, until there are no more overx pixels.

like this you'll get almost the best exposure possible.

then, as usual, make the final enhancements in photoshop/gimp..
