Net Render was created by Jorge_Zamudio
Hello everybody, I wanted to post here one simple question, maybe it has been addressed before, but I didn't found anything on it, or maybe I didn't look around good enough, but just to be on the safe side, i'll ask.
I do use a lot the net render (backburner) on Max, I like to leave all my final scenes to render during the night, and I was wondering if I can use soldirocks to play with the settings, and once I have a result I like, send it to the net render without any problem.
Why I ask this? Well, I have been using a little bit the flywizard, once I got my scene the way I wanted it, I had to go back to the normal render settings to use the LC and IR maps generated to set things right to render in backburner.
I did saw that it has a distributed render button, but I don't use the vray server, maybe there's a better way to set up the night jobs, and I'm open to any suggestions.
OH! and if it counts for something, I would love to see a button in the flywizard that could let me export the settings used in it, to the normal render settings dialog box. (again, just to hit net render and use the lc and ir maps to start rendering)
Thanks! Great plug in. (subburb I've already sent you the documents you asked, please let me know when you can send me the charge to paypal.)

Hi, Jorge !
Did you received my mail with your coupon ?
Yes you can use net render with solidrocks. no need to install solidrocks on slaves
It's better to "apply" solidrocks settings to the scene before launching net render.
In the full version, you can do that via the button named "apply SR to Vray on exit". This will apply all solidrocks settings to the scene when you quit solidrocks.
Yes the distrib.render button in solidrocks is intended to work with Vray spawner.
The Share LightCache tools avoid useless LC calculations by the slaves (only the master computes the lightcache, then it's automatically sended to the slaves.). This way the slaves are instant ready for irrmap/final render rendering.
About The Flywizard...
Nice idea ! I'll have a look on that. i'll add a button : apply settings for "ready to start" net render
