SolidRocks hanging in

SolidRocks hanging in was created by Ruud3DV
SolidRocks was hanging my 3ds Max 2011. There was a small dialogbox showing the title: SR is processin...
That's all I can see since the entire 3ds Max display turned half transparant white in 'non-responsive' mode. I've waited about 10 minutes before manually killing the 3ds max process.
It happened after choosing a Vray Material for Clay mode and clicking 'MiniPrev' to preview.
Other than that i noticed in some first tests that the MiniPreview (without using Clay Mode) was very slow, and even in Fast/Draft mode with LC/LC it took over a minute to see the preview.
3ds Max 2011 x64, Vray 1.5 SP5 x64, Win 7 x64
Best regards,
Ruud van Reenen

I haven't had time to test it much, but it seems to have been just a real long waiting time. A next try froze the application again but after 10 minutes or so the MiniPrev continued and finished.
As for the slowness of the MiniPrev: it's a quite a big scene with a long pre-render time (about a minute total) (Transforming vertices, Updating Instances, Compiling geometry, Building static raycast accellerator etc) which probably is just as long for a MiniPrev as for a hires render.
One remark though, the Claymode didn't change the material of the Forest Pro proxies in the scene.

Hi Ruud,
i've added the clay bug to bugtracker.
max2011 have some troubles with the "scenematerials" value and give me some troubles here in dev.
it's very inconsistent and i need to find a way, and don't use this "created by max" value.
all in all, the clay tool need some improvements, so i'll give an eye to this stuff.
