Great program, but my renders are chalky was created by Burdurky
I love this program but all my renders come out a bit light and chalky? It looks cool because I do basic Architectural stuff but I want it to render a bit more vibrant. Any ideas?

Hi ! I think it can have 2 reasons for that :
- too strong gamma correction
- color mapping.
You can tweak these to parameters to reach your needs
fell free if you need help.

Hi,
Yes you were right, the render worked great for me after I dropped the gamma down to about 1.7 from 2.2 in customize>preference>Gamma. 3DSMax seemed to reset it back to 2.2 when I went to check it again after a single test render, but its still rendering great.
I couldn't work out what you meant by the color mapping option. Were you referring to "color correction map" in material editor>select material>material/map browser>color correction? Because I didn't even know that existed before.
Anyway, thanks this script is teaching me stuff!
