Reflective metal materials and glass turning gray/black in animations - AnimWiza was created by werez
Hello,
My apologies if this is not a right place to ask about AnimWizard and Vray.
I've been having some issues with rendering animations of interiors. Still renders are looking fine but when I render an animation with assistance of AnimWizard, some metal and glass objects turn gray or black depending of their diffuse color. After couple of test, I assume that the issue is related to prerendered GI passes but didn't manage to find out right solution. I would appreciate a lot if someone could give me some hints!
Thank you in advance!

HI Werez, welcome on board.
Are you using IM + LC mode ?
Looks like you've used glossies interpolation... ?
It's not safe to interpolate glossies into Irrmap for animations.
So go into the options panel of SolidRocks, than check that both "interp gloss in irrmap" buttons (reflects and refracts).
Then you can try again

Awesome! Thank you for a quick reply!
Yes, I use irradiance map for primary bounce and light cache for a second one. Interpolation gloss in IM was actually disabled for both reflections and refractions. I've conducted a couple more tests and that issue remained. It's even more weired, because different materials on the scene are changing reflection properties without any action from my side.
For example, I've got a typical interior vis. with couple of cameras at different spots. When I render a sequence from one camera some materials are changing. Walls are becoming reflective, satin wood looks like a mirror, the same for mat aluminum.
When I render with another camera some metals become gray with no reflections and other semi-reflective surfaces look like a perfect mirror.
Basically, the same objects look differently depending on used camera.

Hmmm.. are you sure that ONLY the cameras are moving into your scene ?

Absolutely, There are no keyframes for any geometry.

Firstly I thought it was related to different vray version on workstations and rented farm. We've got 60 cores with vray 1.50sp4 and vray 1.50sp5 on 256 core rented servers but after rendering the same frame on both type of machines I noticed no difference at all.
