I get a problem whenever I render using xrefs in my max 2012.Is this a problem when using sr?As soon as my xref is merged into my scen,sr works fine.Otherwise it just hangs on me.

looks like it's a limitation.
It's on todo list.
Xrefs are pain to manage via script. But we'll find a way, for sure !

well in fact you can render xrefs, but Xrefs materials won't be optimised by SR.
the thing is to be sure to have reflections and refractions subdivs set to 7 into Xref materials.

I have encountered an xref problem. I opened the scene where xrefs are, optimized it with SR, but still when I render xrefs in original scenes, xref objects are really bright. Any options here?
