Best result with animation preset (no flickering or grain)

Hi and thank you for a great product!
I have a animation with small camera movement and some objects that are animated.
What is the best way to render this out?
I am useing the "animation" preset with IM/LC + DE on "very good" quality, but there is some minor flickering.
Should I bump up the quality to production/ultra or is it a better way?

Thanks for any replay.

Hi and thank you !
IM/LC+DE with animation preset is a good compromise in terms of quality/rendertime.
you can try the "use cam path" option in MOA wizard to help a bit more.

That said, the only ways to get flicker free anims are :
- BruteForce/LC render (quite long, grainy sometimes but best quality)

- more complex but can be a good way : (that's what i'm teatching to my students)
- hide all animated parts
- render static geometry in flythrough mode in IM/LC (+DE optionnaly)
- set all static geometry to matte shadow (alpha -1)
- unhide moving geometry
- render in bruteforce/lightcache with MOAWizard
- finally composite in After, or other.

Of course you loose some details in shadows, and maybe you'll be forced to uncheck "receive GI" on static parts, but it's a very good way to render clean and fast.
Hope it helps !
