I´m loving solidrocks, it increase my workflow speed alot. But I´ve having problems rendering some interior scenes. Take a look.

The GI is far from clean and it´s on production preset (interior IM+LC+DE). I tried lot´s of configurations, what am I missing?

Thanks!

Looks like you've some light interpolated into the irrmap.
Please check that the options named Interp. lights in IrrMap are both UNchecked.

Hope it helps !

The lights on the top of the walls are vraylight materials, not vraylights. So that is the problem? The light material is messing up the GI. Damn.... It´s alot faster to setup lightmaterials than normal lights...:P

Well the problem are not the luminous polys because I rendered the scene without them and still alot of splotches...

Well I´ve been running some tests, and it´s seems that everytime I use the higher quality presets the splotches appear. Its worse when you have large flat surfaces. It´s seems that the GI calculations instead of ignoring large flat surfaces, it throws at them large quantity of subdivs, so the splotches appear...

ok noticed.
You can correct that by yourself :

click on edit (edit preset) to modify the preset

The preset editor will appear : give it a new name (see on bottom of the window)

Make changes like this :

by default the irrmap min and max values are :
-4 -1 for medium and -3 -1 for prod settings.

You can change by :
-4 -1 for medium and -4 -1 for prod.

It will allow Vray to avoid placing too much samples on flat areas, even in High quality modes ;)

Hope it helps !
