Sure !
Sorry guys i'm in some kind of rush... and delayed the work.
But i don't forget it and be sure it's my first priority.

I'll send to you private builds as soon as this problem is solved.

Reinhard is not enough flexible ? hmm well... have you an idea in mind ?

Yes reinhard is good but not flexible, because you only adjust between exponential and linear...
when you use for example: expontial you have a dark and bright multiplier... to adjust the illumination
when you use hsv multiplier the color will not wash out as in the standart exponential...

...for me: exponential / or hsv is the best for indoor renderings. For outdoor is the choise between reinhard/linear/hsv exponential

...by the way, i think when I adjust to enable SR to control ColorMapping_ "SR" use Reinhard > but if I switch the ColorMapping back to "user" the old adjustment is not present more!

you're right !
looks like a bug...
next i'll have some time to have a workaround on these 2 things : gamma and color map ;)

To my eyes the linear is the best one... If your render is correct with full linear, without any or few overxposed parts, then it would say that you've made the correct camera exposure/lighting power balance.

Noobs and vray starters use too much the exponential/hsv expo to hide the exposure problem... but it's not a real LWF way.. that's why in my video tutorial i encourage users to keep as much linear as possible, eventually helped by the autoexpo tool.

Yes you are right! ...the real LWF way is better!
...but sometimes it is faster to bright the dark zones or to darken the shadows to get for example more contrast. This you can´t manage with the exposure, because you adjust only the whole image and you must tweek other settings such as material to dark/bright some individual parts.

But it is an very dangerous tool, because you can fake to much and it don´t looks real!

...sorry for my bad english ;)

Hi guys !
Just to say that i'm working right now on gamma issues

Improving Color mapping is secondary priority, but it's on todo list ;)
