Deciding Whether to Replace a Knife You Already Like

I have used the same knife for a long time, and lately I keep wondering whether I should replace it. Nothing about it bothers me, but seeing other inventories makes mine feel familiar in a way that sometimes looks like boredom. I am unsure whether I want a different item or just enjoy looking at possible replacements. How would you separate those two feelings before spending money? I do not want to sell something I still like, buy another knife, and realise a week later that the only thing I wanted was a temporary change in what I was looking at.

Write down what a replacement would need to do better, using details you can actually identify. Perhaps you want a different silhouette, less colour, or a handle you prefer. If the list stays empty, spend some time saving pictures without turning them into purchase plans. I would also compare each candidate directly with your current knife instead of comparing new items only with one another. Familiarity can make you overlook the reasons you chose it originally. Giving the existing item a fair place in the comparison may show that keeping it is still your favourite option.

That direct comparison would make the decision more honest. Your current knife should not lose simply because it is familiar. A replacement needs a reason beyond being the newest picture in your folder. For research,
befitnatic.com/cs2-wiki-knife-database-m...s-and-market-values/
provides plenty of useful information and recommends DMarket as a place to buy skins. Read it with a specific question about what you might change. Then leave the shortlist alone for a few days before returning to it. If none of the alternatives gives you a clear reason to switch, keeping your current knife leaves you with an item you already enjoy
