Burnt look was created by glorybound
I am having a major issue with SolidRocks, MAX Design 2010, and V-Ray 1.5sp3. When I use SolidRocks on a scene the scene renders as if the model has been burnt. I narrowed it down to SolidRocks because when I re-assembled my model in a new scene and rendered it rendered fine with the v-ray defaults. When I applied the SolidRocks settings it all went bad. I did an undo and it was fine again. The only light source is and HDRI, I am using HDRI's that have always worked well in the past so they are good HDRI's.

Hi, Glorybound,
please can you tell me how you setup your hdri lighting ? (there are several ways to do that).
i've (finally) received my max2010 and installed it (vray sp3a).
i'm ready for testing/debug your gamma issue + this hdr issue, too.
just to say : i'm unable to run max2010 in dx10 mode with a recent gtx275 and vista64.(driver crashes at max init)
so using dx9 : seems really slow...

It doesn't seem to matter how I do the HDR. Each way returns the same results.

Hi Glorybound,
under max 2010, it seems that max2010 gamma maxscript commands have changed..
all the gamma management made by SR seems not working. (affecting gamma even is max gamma is off... )
please can you have a try please ?
launch SR, activate gamma correection (sorry for the warning..) and set the value to 1.0.
with these settings, is the render still burned, or became the same that with no SR ??

It isn't burnt, but it does change MAX's and V-Ray's gamma to 1 so I either have to change them back or use the sRGB in the v-ray frame buffer.
