SR Keeps Setting My Gamma Back to 2.2 in Color Mapping

I use LWF with a 2.2 Gamma, but I like to be able to adjust my gamma myself under color mapping as well.
I turned of Gamma Correction in SR and under SR configuration, I have Color Mapping set to "User".

But no matter what I do, SR keeps setting my Gamma back to 2.2. How can I get it to stop??

I have the same problem! SR keep the level of the gamma I put in. It donĀ“t turn the Gamma correction off, when you turn off the button. The only way to turn it off, is to turn the SR Gamma to 1.0 and adjust it in the preferences (gamma correction + Input + Output) in max, too.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of using LWF? I think the problem needs to be fixed rather than having a work around.

when you uncheck Gamma correction in SR, then SR just put back the max gamma settings you've made BEFORE launching SR (non destructive).

so the good way is to make your gamma settings Before launching Sr, then launch SR, with gamma correction off.

the rule is to not change anything about gamma in max/vray manually while Sr is launched.

If you need to make personnal settings, then close Sr before.

Does it helps ?

If you need another behavior, just tell me, we can all together define a useful gamma correction for everyone.

thanks for screencap ! it's more clear now, i see clearly what you mean.

little question : is this thing happening to a fresh scene, too ? i guess no.

The way how SR store/restore the Vray gamma gamma value into the scene have to be modified.
Actually it apply the max gamma value but don't take account if gamma correction is on or off in max prefs.

I tell you informed (all guys in this post) as soon as i've made a corrective build to see if it's better before making a new build for everyone. thanks for your feedback !!
