Hi surburb
I can send you my scene if you are interested in. I had to do a little tweak on the camera (shutterspeed,ISO)
Right now i was trying to do something with VRay Sun....very sensible..
Have to find the right settings.
Details on renderingtimes/quality will follow
oops you was quicker, now i see your image! Great !!
Wich Light do you use ??

i'm subburb
i'm a physical settings lover..
So i always use VrayPhysical cam, sky and sun.
Settings very standard
sky and sun at default values (1.0 intensity)
my exterior daylight settings:
camera :
f-number 16
iso 100
shutter speed 100
if you're not working in gamma 2.2, then try f-number around 8
exactly the same settings on my minolta dimage on bright daily exterior scene
for interiors, low down shutter speed, raise iso (i.e 200 or 400 for darker scene), and lower f-number to catch even more light.
Be careful, f-stop plays a important role in DOF.
Best regards.

Sorry subburb
Thx for the settings will try on my machine. Then i will setup a little more complex scene. The first one i render on my Test Computer (2 GHz PIV , 1 Gig Ram)took there about 46 sec.
The complex scene i will render on my workstation (Core2Duo 3.GHz,2 Gig Ram)
But i think it will be weekend until i can tell you something.
